October 2008 -- The Self Sustaining Project for Women
Started in Oct 2008, this project for rural women in Nawabpur has borne fruits recently with active participation from Sinko Corp, USA which has agreed to market 10,000 units of the product(a specific kind of hand-knitted dish cloth)that the women are involved in making. These women have opened their bank accounts for the first time in their lives, thanks to this project!
